🍂 SEPTEMBER IS ALMOST HERE! 🍂🏃🏽‍♀️ Fall is around the corner, and we’ve got a fun month filled with more miles and some updates to our weekly runs! 🤗 Here’s what’s coming up with SSRC next month: ⚡️ THURSDAYS — DEER DASH We’re now consistently meeting at the track for structured speed workouts. Whether you’re new to speed work or already love a good interval, all paces are welcome! 📍Kentridge HS 📏 SUNDAYS — LONG RUNS We’re switching our Sunday long runs from time-based to mileage-based as we train toward the Seattle Full/Half Marathon in November. And to keep things fresh, we’ll be trying a new location every last Sunday of the month! 🗺️ You don't have to race the Seattle Marathon to join us, but we'd love to have you on our team! Can y'all believe it's almost August already?? 🙀 🍁 Thank you all for a lovely summer so far! If you haven't joined us for a run yet, or are new to our club, we hope that you can join us (again) next month! We'll be having our usual weekly runs, with some new events and updates to our schedule: 1️⃣ **We will be hosting a Little Si Trail Run on Sunday, August 9th at 7:30AM! ⛰️** Whether you're preparing for Ragnar Trail Rainier or looking to start trail running, this is the perfect opportunity to try it out! The Boulder Garden loop is about 2 miles and you can do as many or as little loops as you like. We will also be hosting an aid/resting station at the parking lot where you can chill between loops! 2️⃣ **Our 4th Monday run will now be at Green River Trail in Tukwila!** 🏃‍♂️ Due to our new partnerships and member base being located toward southcenter, we will be trialing running there monthly as part of our Monday runs 🙂 3️⃣ **Cycling club is back!** 🚲 We are trialing first Fridays of the month but this is subject to change! Location is also subject to change depending on where members want to ride-- if you're interested in helping us plan more rides, please let us know by joining our Discord (link in bio) ⬆️ 4️⃣ **Federal Way runs are every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at Celebration Park (BPA Trail)!** 🏃‍♀️ We are still looking for a run lead that is more local to the area to help us lead these Federal Way runs (and hopefully more in other locations around the area)! Our last event of the month is coming up! 🐮 Grab a gallon of the beverage of your choice and complete the Milk Mile challenge with Southside Run Club! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ The rules are simple: every 400m, you chug your beverage of choice. Drink it all after 4 laps and you win! 🏆 If you get sick and tap out, it's game over 🙅‍♀️ 📢 Please come prepared to clean up after yourself.
